Collage & Convo
Art Studio
Collage art is a conversation with the self, spoken in the language of paper, color, and texture
In our studio, we strip away the boundaries of formal technique to make room for pure, intuitive expression. The creative process is a tactile meditation—a swift, liberating exercise where you select the colors that mirror your mood, disconnect from the noise, and piece together your own visual story. There are no rules, no judgment, and no wrong answers: every cut and tear is a step toward finding your inner strength and creative voice. Intuitive Collage 101
Go offline and reconnect with your creative intuition tactilly: use your hands to express tangibly the intangible inner thoughts & emotions.
This workshop invites you to explore the boundless medium of collage to construct an evocative portrait using raw materials, text, fabric and paint. Whether you choose to capture the essence of yourself, a loved one, pet or a nostalgic place, this exercise is all about embracing the beauty of imperfection. Bring your own personal photos or dive into our curated stash of materials to build your image.
Give yourself room to explore and capture floating memories, ideas, mood or emotions, and translate them into a visual character.
Upon completing the artwork, the workshop experience concludes with a cozy, casual reflection session to identify the connection amongst the ideas created and artistic journey taken.
Studio Artist
Life, much like art, is a collage—a layering of experiences, textures, and evolving passions...
Seung is a designer, artist, and founder of Collage & Convo Studio. A RISD MFA graduate and Cartier Prize recipient, she spent 15 years balancing fine art jewelry exhibitions—spanning London, New York, and Boston—with commercial design roles for major fashion brands like Lauren Ralph Lauren and Carolee under Brooks Brothers. Throughout her career, collage mood boards served as her essential tool for capturing trends and muse identities. Through Collage & Convo Studio, Seung now repurposes the collage process into a relaxed, therapeutic space where anyone can explore creative expression without pressure.
What we hope to achieve
We hope this workshop helps you identify the abstract voice in your mind and translate it into compelling visual languages. Ultimately, our goal is for this creative process to bring you joy, excitement, and a lot of fun!
